Traditions "Cornerview and B&W Wednesday"

When the boys were little we began the tradition of decorating a gingerbread house. Each boy would get one side of the gingerbread house and be given free reign over that side of the house. Roman has kind of put a little kink in the decorating. I think I am going to have to switch to doing graham cracker houses, so that they can each have their own house to decorate. Another tradition that we have here at our house while they may not seem a tradition to others is that I have bowls of clementines throughout the holidays. My children consider them little treasures. So perfectly tasty and juicy! Well, we are off in a couple days to the Caribbean and we can't wait. It has been the coldest winter here in Georgia since 1917. On top of that my children have had a stomach virus this week, so I am looking forward to no loads of laundry to do, no beds to be made, and no meals to be cooked. We hope all of you have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Have a wonderful trip and a very Merry Christmas and a golden New Year! xo

PS thank goodness the stomach flu is this week and not next week. I hope the boys are back on their feet soon.

when there was just the two kiddos (muriel didn't care until this year) i'd get each of the kids their own gingerbread house to decorate. this year i didn't want to get three, so i just got one for everyone to share, and oh. my. goodness. what a disaster. the girls were fine, but rowan had the biggest meltdown because the house wasn't being decorated just like the picture. maybe we too will do graham cracker houses!!!

it has been really warm here in colorado. in the sixties!!! this can't be normal. anyway, have a wonderful time in the caribbean!!!!

I need to get my kids a gingerbread house to decorate. But I have to buy a store bought one, since every time I try to make my own it doesn't come out.
Thank you for your kind comment on my blog. :-)

I have a gingerbread house waiting in the sidelines to be decorated by my two kids. I figured it would be a good project during their holiday break from school. I'm hoping they will get along long enough to decorate it. Love you're photo of "your" house.

Enjoy your Christmas in the Caribbean. We've been experiencing crazy cold temps here in Florida too. I'm actually enjoying it. Usually we're wearing shorts, tank tops and sandals right about now. ;-)

Yeah, I am always planning to do a gingerbread house because I am studying architecture and it would be fun...unfortunately there's always lots of other things to do so shortly before christmas, that I again won't find the time...what a pity! Seems to be fun! ;)

I was on a boat for 24 hrs to Sicily a few years ago, and I loved it: nothing to do! No housework, no cooking, no laundry!

That is a great tradition! We have tried several times and can never seem to get the icing right. :-( but that just gives us an excuse to eat it instead! :-)
